FYI. AHRC Research in Film awards

FYI.

Deadline: 1st July 2016

The Arts and Humanities Research Council invites entries for its research in film awards. These showcase, reward and recognise the best of the growing number of short films linked to arts and humanities research.

All films should last no longer than 30 minutes and may be made by teams or individuals. One award is available for each of the following categories:

•best research film of the year;

•utopias award, imagining our future;

•innovation award;

•doctoral award;

•inspiration award within the public category.

The inspiration award is open to the public but the doctoral award is only open to AHRC and arts and humanities research board students. The remaining categories are open to those employed by or registered to study at HEIs or independent research organisations that have received research council recognition to apply to the AHRC. All films should involve collaboration with broadcasters, community groups and cultural bodies

Each award is worth £2,000, to be invested in future film-making activities.
