Thank yous
First, a huge shout out to everyone who made WSC 2019 such a fantastic success, from all the people behind the scenes to the presenters, the delegates, the sponsors, and everyone who made a donation to the bursary fund. We were able to provide 11 bursaries this year, making the conference accessible to more people who might otherwise have not been able to attend. And with great thanks to everyone who donated prizes to our raffle or bought a ticket, the WSC 2020 Bursary Fund is off to a great start with £470 (CAD 750) raised towards our £2500 goal. Save the date: WSC 2020 will be in New Zealand
And last but not least, save the date for the 8th Annual International Weight Stigma Conference. We will be heading south for the winter (theirs) and holding WSC 2020 in Auckland, New Zealand on 22nd and 23rd June. Start saving now! And if you are interested in fat studies, the Fat Studies Conference New Zealand will be held, also in Auckland, on the 18th and 19th June, so you get a twofer. Details of themes, submission dates and more information about the conference will be available later in the year and early next year.
