We’re looking for studies exploring how weight-related conversations (including direct or indirect comments, teasing, or discussions about controlling weight) impact eating behaviours and disordered eating in children and adolescents (≤18 years).
Eligible studies can be observational or interventional, from any setting or cultural context, and with or without a control group. We’re especially interested in how the type of weight talk, source (parent, sibling, peer, etc.), and participant characteristics influence outcomes.
Please send any submissions through to asehrawat1@sheffield.ac.uk or Kat.Schneider@uwe.ac.uk by 10 April 2026!
