FYI. Call for studies for scoping review: Weight-inclusive practice in physical education

We are seeking published and unpublished data (any study, implementation, policy; any location) on weight-inclusive practice in physical education (PE) in schools.

Details:

We welcome submissions and recommendations of:

  • Empirical research (qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods)
  • Intervention studies or programme evaluations
  • Practice-based or grey literature (e.g., reports, guidelines, toolkits)

Studies may focus on:

  • Reducing weight bias, stigma, or discrimination in PE or school-based physical activity
  • Promoting weight-inclusive or body-inclusive teaching practices
  • PE teacher attitudes, knowledge, or training related to weight
  • Strategies, interventions, or policies implemented in school or PE contexts

Eligibility:

  • Focus on school-based PE or closely related settings
  • Address weight bias, stigma, or weight-inclusive practice
  • No restriction on study design or country of origin
